A brand spanking new version of Google’s AdWords Editor has been rolled out worldwide. AdWords Editor 12 has a number of new features as well as a new look and feel that (in Google’s words) better aligns with Google’s commitment to material design.

So what are the new features you ask? Great question! Essentially the main feature is the ability to add custom rules (and corresponding alerts) based on best practice rules. The example that Google gave was around the number of site-links.  Google’s guide to best practice suggests search ads should have four or more site-links.  If you use this as a custom rule, then Google will notify you which ad groups do not meet this spec.
