Now that it’s Inspire Partner conference has finished, Microsoft has announced they are launching new tools as part of their 360 suite.
The first of these is called Microsoft Connections and is a direct competitor to the likes of Mailchimp.
Essentially offering a basic email marketing tool with the usual features: Creating segments, tracking performance through open rates, click through rates etc. What may make this stand out, however, is the fact that it is built on the Office 360 UI. This will be familiar to small to medium businesses and may give Microsoft Connections the edge.
Microsoft says it will offer users a number of pre-designed templates for their newsletters and “simple ways for people to join your mailing list or unsubscribe.”
What we don’t know yet is when this will be rolled out globally and what it will be priced at.
Microsoft Connections will be available on the web and with mobile apps for iOS and Android.
