Thanks to the awesome team over at Search Engine Land, Google has confirmed they are rolling out a design change for Sitelinks.
For the unaware, Sitelinks are the links shown below some of Google’s search results. The function as a simple way to navigate to key areas of a website. Think of it like a shortcut to the key pages.
Now Google is rolling out a new carousel design which removes the text context under each Sitelink.
Have a look at the new design:
The big question for us is whether the new format will increase or decrease the users click through to the key pages? Or will we see an overall increase to the default homepage?
We will have to wait and see.
