LinkedIn is continuing to roll out a stream of new features to help improve its user experience (and of course, entice new advertisers).

The latest rollout is an addition to LinkedIn messaging called ‘Active Status’. It allows the ability for your LinkedIn followers to see when are online on either desktop or mobile.

This is, of course, similar to a feature on another somewhat popular social platform Facebook. The thing to note with Activity Status is that it is turned on by default, so if you wish to tone down the stalkers, I would suggest turning it off.

This is quite a logical move for LinkedIn and it will be interesting to see how it is used and/or abused by users.

Let me know on social if you have any concerns over these types of service. Additionally, how do you see this benefiting you as a digital marketer?
