Well, that escalated quickly. Facebook has announced they are rolling out Facebook Watch to all users in the US in the next few days. Previously Watch had only been available to a small amount of US users. This is a good sign that Watch has resonated well.
For those that missed it, Facebook Watch is the new play by Facebook to work with content creators to showcase original video content. Think of it as a mid tier TV. Higher quality programming than most of us with a camera would produce, but obviously, nothing near the quality of HBO or Netflix.
For now, Watch content is created by a number of strategic partners. The plan is that this will change and Facebook will open up the content creation privileges to everyone. And yes, that includes digital marketers.
