If you ever lay awake at night worried that someone could get into your Facebook account and post terrible things while posing as you, then….well…..you really need to find bigger things to worry about.

Okay, I am obviously joking as the potential damage to brands from a hacked Facebook account is something we don’t really like to think about. So in steps Facebook to the rescue.

Facebook is testing using facial recognition as a form of authentication (alongside their two-factor authentication). This would, of course, involve using the front-facing camera to scan your face to prove that you are, in fact, who you say you are.

 

 

It will be interesting to see if this gets rolled into general public usage.
