Okay everyone, let’s say this all together on 1…..2…..3…..”finally!!!”

It has been a while coming, but Snapchat is slowly releasing their Snap Pixel.

So what is it you ask? It’s the thing most advertisers have been waiting patiently for, a conversion tracking pixel to help measure how your Snapchat ad campaigns have impacted traffic to your site.

Unfortunately, at this stage, it will only be available for the Vertical Video Snap Ads (no sponsored lens or sponsored geofilters yet). This is another strong signal that Snapchat cannot be ignored by advertisers. Smart campaigns on Snapchat convert really well and now you will have the pixel tracker to prove it.

To use the new tool, you will (of course) need to add the Snap Pixel code to your site or tag manager. Once it is up and running, you will be able to select from nine different conversion events:

  • Page View
  • Sign Up
  • Add To Cart
  • Purchase
  • Search
  • Save
  • Add Billing
  • Start Checkout
  • View Content

You can then view the conversion tracking metrics through Snapchat’s ad manager or any third party software that connects to the Snapchat Advertising API.
