Poly doesn’t want a cracker, he wants AR and VR objects. And yes, before the comments flood in, I know I spelt Polly wrong. That is due to the fact that Google has launched their new library called ‘Poly’.

The point of Poly is so that you can find and distribute virtual and augmented reality objects. The library has full integration with Google’s Tilt Brush and Blocks and can be used by anyone developing using Google’s ARCore, Apple’s ARKit and more.

One of the features I really like in Poly is that the modellers can (and are supposed to) upload their work for free and other users can then modify and remix their objects and redistribute them through the library that credits the original.

A nice move by Google and one that is going to be very handy when I play around with AR/VR over Christmas (I get bored easy)
