Google has introduced a super useful tool called Rich Results Test.
So what does it do? Basically, it tests your publicly accessible page to see if rich results can be generated based on the structured data within. It tests for all types of structured data including Microdata, JSON-LD, and RDFa. The beauty of the tool is that it gives a much more accurate representation of how your page is displayed in search results, as well as the ability to test your structured data in dynamically loaded content.
This means you can see any underlying problems and address them immediately. Pretty damn useful!
If you have not yet come across the term Rich Results, it is basically a catch-all term to describe “search results that go beyond the standard blue link, they may include a carousel, image or other non-textual UI elements.” It even includes things like Recipes, Movies listings, Jobs and Courses.
Once you have tested a page, you can use the tool to submit it directly to Google’s index.
