One of the little-known features of Google is the reverse image search tool.  If you don’t already know what it is, it is the ability to use a picture as your search to find related images from around the web. In other words, if you are going to use a stock image on your site, it is really handy to find out who else is using the same image.

It’s a great tool and now, Google has confirmed that it is going to fix a bug that is currently happening with the tool.

The bug causes the thumbnail images and image dimensions that usually appear next to each of the listings that use the image, to disappear. This is not a really inconvenient design change, it is, in fact, a bug and should not work this way.

Google has said they are working on fixing the bug but noted that it could take up to a week for the fix to be rolled out to all.
