According to Twitter’s CEO – Jack Dorsey, since the last most controversial twitter update late November 2017, Twitter ‘’is generating more engagement’’.

Despite the fact, this news came directing from Twitter’s boss, its veracity has been checked and it makes sense too. You can imagine users being able to express themselves better with more characters.

Interestingly, the average tweet is still less than 50 characters but the propensity of tweets reaching 140 characters has increased.

Initially criticized, this update seems to work out for a particular and more prolific audience without necessarily uprooting or upsetting the heart of its target audience.
